May 23, 2020
Our office has resumed regular office hours and will begin to provide high priority preventive care beginning on May 26th 2020. Full scheduling is expected to start at phase 2 (the week of June 8th) of governor Baker’s reopening plan.
Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have modified our check-in process to ensure everyone’s safety. All visits will need to be scheduled in advance. Wearing a mask is required to enter the office, and we will check your temperature when you come in. If you have experienced any flu-like symptoms (fever, chills, headache, sore throat), shortness of breath and/or coughing prior to your visit, please call the office to reschedule. We appreciate your cooperation.
We will send all patient forms via email for you to fill, sign and return to us prior to your visit. Because we are doing our best to maintain social distancing and minimize the interpersonal contact time, all visits (including pickups and choosing frames) have to be scheduled ahead of time. Please come alone, unless the patient is a minor, in which case one parent/guardian may accompany the patient for the visit. Please arrive on time (5 minutes within your appointment time). If you arrive earlier than your appointment time, please call the office to decide if you can come in or if you must wait outside. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, but if you anticipate you will be late for your appointment, please call or text to check if we will still be able to see you on the same day, or if we will need to reschedule.
Thank you again for helping us maintain a safe environment. We look forward to seeing you.
If you currently have glasses or contact lens orders in our office, do not worry. We will contact you to pick up from our mailbox or arrange for a curbside pickup. Both your safety and your vision are very important to us. Please note any dispensary visit needs to be scheduled in advance.
For your contact lens order, you will be able to apply your vision plan benefits and enjoy the free shipping (with order 2 boxes and more) to your residence. Please order contact lens here.
Please note, contact lens wear during this time is safe. Here are a few important reminders to ensure proper wear and care for your contact lenses.
How to disinfect glasses: Use warm soapy water to wash your glasses thoroughly, and then dry with a lens cloth. Avoid using a household detergent (such as bleach), as it might damage the coating of your lenses (antireflective and/or blue light filter) and parts of your frame.
Stay safe and be well,
Optimum Vision Care.
