I believe Ortho-K is a very convenient and efficient alternative to glasses and contact lenses. The fact that you have nothing in or on your eyes in the daytime makes it much more comfortable than regular contacts, and there’s no risk of anything falling off for glasses or falling out for regular contacts. From personal experience, the method of reshaping your corneas in your sleep is much better at preserving your eye sight than the conventional alternative over the long run. While it may take some time to get used to, having the lenses in your eyes while you sleep at most is a mediocre annoyance; it’s something you tend to get used to after a week or so. How quickly the reshaping process occurs depends on the degree of near-sightedness one has. For me, it took about 3-4 days before my vision reverted from nearsighted to back to what it originally was.
I could not have reached this degree of success without the help of Dr. Julia Chang at Optimum Vision Care, whose patience and experience made the whole process lot easier. Thanks to her, I can now see 20/20 without the use of contacts.

There are many benefits of Ortho-K.  I love this treatment because of the convenience of wearing contacts at night while sleeping, instead of daytime, for contacts may interfere with your daily activities and social life.  When I was still wearing glasses at age 8, I felt like I was fighting with a nefarious devil all day long.  Now I can experience euphoria every day without heavy metal glasses hanging on my face.  I am very grateful for the invention of Ortho-K, this treatment has helped me through my daily life and it will keep on helping me day after day, and year after year.

Ortho-K helps me with sports, like swimming.  When I swim, I can’t wear glasses or daytime contacts.  It helps me with gymnastics, too.  When I do gymnastics, I can’t wear glasses or daytime contacts either.

Ortho-K helps me very much.  I never needed to wear glasses when I became nearsighted.  My mom, Dr. Chang, fitted me with the lenses I needed, and now I see great every day.  Thanks, mom.

I was beginning to have some trouble seeing the board during school, a problem that probably was going to get worse. Ortho-K definitely helped prevent that problem from getting worse. Having better vision is also going to help when I start driving.

Ortho-K has improved my vision significantly throughout the day. In classes, it is easier for me to read the board from far away, and my overall performance in school has become better. Additionally, Ortho-K is a lot more convenient compared to daytime contact lenses.

My experience with the Ortho-K lenses has been terrific. I used to have very weak eyesight but now I can see with perfect vision. Although I need to add ten minutes every night and morning, in general the contacts have been very convenient. Having to only wear them at night and not during the day makes them extremely easy. However, when I first started with the contacts I had some difficulty with putting them in, but after many night it’s a piece of cake! Ortho-K lenses are definitely worth it!

“The OrthoK worked very well for me. After about two weeks my vision began to become stable and I can now see very clearly. Putting on, taking the lenses out and cleaning them are very low maintenance and can be done very easily by almost anyone. I’ve never seen this clearly with contacts or glasses before. I’m very thankful for the opportunity to have OrthoK!”
